Sheryl Underwood is she is an American comedian and TV personality who is best known for her role as the presenter on The Talk, a popular talk show broadcast on daytime television. Born in Arkansas she grew up at Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl was raised by one of the most difficult families. She spent the majority of her childhood taking care of her sick sister Frankie. Growing up, she experienced many issues with her mother. Sheryl asserts that in an incident, she was stabbed by her father due to him having a relationship with her. Sheryl became a military officer after graduating from college. But her passion was comedy. In 1989, she became the first woman to make the top in the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. She started her TV career in the year 1992 when she made a cameo appearance as a frequent performer in the HBO comedy show Def Comedy Jam. In 2000, she was an host on the T.V. talk show Oh Drama! Then in 2011, she started making appearances in The Talk as co-host. Also, she's played various characters from series like Bulworth, Nikki or Beauty Shop.
