Kelly Clarkson was an American singer/songwriter that became America's Sweetheart after she was crowned American Idol during the very first series of the series. Not only was she a star after the win and she was signed to a recording contract by RCA Records 19 Recordings & "S Records" for several albums. Since then, she's put out many studio albums, three of which reached the top list of the US Billboard 200' chart and the rest of her albums just did not make it to the top. She's among the most popular artists to have sprung from The American Idol series. She started to explore themes and songs as her fame grew. The singer received critical acclaim as well as a number of prestigious awards in recognition of her uniqueness and vocal talent. Most notable is when she took home three Grammy Awards. She also has been featured in movies and on television. She is also the author of the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as a member of numerous charitable organizations.
