Anna Silk was born at St. Thomas University in Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. She is the daughter of Peter Silk - an academic - and Ilkay Silk, a gifted actress who is also a director, writer and producer. Anna was born in Fredericton. She is the daughter of the couple Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" born in Britain. Anna remembers attending the rehearsals of productions as a young girl and observing her mother doing her job. Early on Anna appeared in a number of commercials for television. Anna relocated to Toronto to Los Angeles in 1999. Seth Cooperman, whom she had met in a Los Angeles actors' workshop earlier in 2007, was her partner in 2009.
