Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen was born 6 May 1964. He has played Troels Hartmann (Copenhagen mayoral election candidate) in The Killing and [1] Charles Augustus Magnussen (third series of Sherlock), the Russian president Viktor Petrov on Netflix's American House of Cards, and Grand Admiral Thrawn from Star Wars Rebels. In 2011, he took home the Reumert Prize of Honour At at the age of 27, he enrolled at the National Theatre School of Denmark from which he was graduated in the year 1995. Apart from his appearance in The Killing, [1] was also a part of Borgen III, a Danish drama series that was and critically acclaimed. He also played a lead role in an episode of BBC drama Sherlock as the blackmailer Charles Augustus Magnussen.In the American TV show House of Cards, he played the role of President Russia. He won an International Emmy Award in 2018 for his role in Danish drama Herrens Veje. It was aired in the UK in 2019 under the name Ride Upon the Storm
